Certified Home Health Aide Training Program (Online)

Home health aides are trained healthcare professionals who provide essential personal care and support to individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living. These services can be particularly valuable for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illnesses or surgeries.

About the training:

You are required to complete 60 hours of online training and to complete  16 hours in person skilled training with our nurse in our lab located in Sayreville.

License process:

While taking the program, you are requiere to register with the Board of Nursing State of New Jersey for them to issue your license and book your fingerprints appointment. The fee is paid directly to The Board of Nursing and it’s between  65$ to 80$.

Course Content:

  • Basic patient care techniques.
  • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Infection control and safety.
  • Vital sign monitoring.
  • Communicating with patients and their families.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Special care considerations, such as Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
  • Nutrition and meal preparation.
  • Documenting and reporting on patient status.
  • * Online classes are available for immediate start.*Visitng Aide of New Jersey’s training program to become a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
